Phase Change Materials

The Thermic® technology regulates the body's temperature by absorbing heat when there is an increase in temperature in our body or surroundings, and by releasing stored heat to the outside, thus enabling the body to maintain the same temperature for a longer period.

Product Varieties
  • Mikra EX:Mikra EX" is a product specially designed for the processing stage of the Thermic technology. It is used as a pre-treatment in the initial stage.
  • Mikracat B: It is a functional glycidoxy compound used as a catalyst system for textile finishing processes.
  • Micrathermic P:It is a product used for textile finishing as a Phase Change Material (PCM).
  • Micrafix: It is a reactive organic compound that serves as a catalyst for textile components, aside from reactive polymer applications.
How does it work?

Thermic® technology relies on Phase Change Materials (PCMs). These materials have the ability to change their physical state ("solid-to-liquid" and "liquid-to-solid") within a specific temperature range in response to ambient temperature differences. When the temperature rises, PCM absorbs heat, temporarily storing this energy, and releases it as heat when the temperature drops.

PCM (Phase Change Material) technology has a very positive effect on sleep quality. Its smart heat exchange mechanism keeps the body within its own comfort zone and reduces night-time sweating. This helps you sleep longer, healthier, and more comfortably with fewer awakenings. The softness and texture of the fabric are not affected by the penetrating microcapsules, leaving the surface almost in its original state.
